To keep your passport more safe, we've incorporated a variety of additional security measures, including a new, tamper-proof data page . The covers have metallic foils in the shape of maple leaves, and the reverse has a debossed maple leaf.
They've added color-shifting ink in the shape of a deer and a snowflake to the inside of the front cover, as well as a visible passport chip and antenna on the opposite page. These features may be used to validate your passport and keep your information safe.
Then they've included a kinegram that changes colors and looks to move when seen from various angles. On the same page, you may see a photo of yourself and your birth date, which appears and vanishes depending on how you look at it.
The page containing your personal information is now constructed of polycarbonate, which will endure longer and be less susceptible to water damage than previously. In addition, rather than being printed in ink on the page, your personal information is now laser-engraved.
Depending on when you apply, you may receive either the new or old version. However, because both versions are secure and dependable, you do not need to renew your passport early to guarantee that it is approved as a travel document.
